Superboy - CD-ROM Comic - Spies from outer space

Spies from Outer Space was the very first two episodes of The Adventures of Superboy.

This Filmation series first aired in 1966 and played in between a couple of Superman episodes. Being the only two-parter in the entire three seasons, it's easy to see why these episodes were chosen to be adapted into a CD-ROM comic.

Written by Oscar Bensol, the tale begins with Krypto the Superdog who has stumbled upon a green alien on a recon mission. A fight ensues which culminates in a nearby volcano heating up ready to erupt.

In the middle of class, Superboy hears his canine companion and rushes off to help but this alien is intent on causing disasters. Superboy stops a forest fire and a tornado before capturing the green meanie and takes him to the one organisation that knows what to do when faced with an alien invasion: the local police.

The alien uses his teleporting technology to escape custody, but not before he gives away his species entire plans. Superboy and Krypto somehow know where he's being teleported to so give chase to another planet. This world's blaring sun weakens our hero, but not Krypto for some reason. The teenager is therefore easily captured and kept tied up in a see-through dome.

How will Superboy escape? Will Earth be taken over by aliens? How many natural disasters can be averted in two six-minute segments?
