The first issue of the seventeenth wave of the Vintage Collection (VC116 - Rey (Jakku), VC117 - Kylo Ren, VC118 - First Order Stormtrooper, VC119 - Jyn Erso, VC120 Rebel Soldier (Hoth), VC121 - Supreme Leader Snoke) used new more recyclable packaging materials.

Hasbro had a problem with the glue adhering to the new materials during production, therefore tape was applied to the sides of the bubbles in case the glue failed. Certain figures with tape on the bubbles are common.
